The USB-COM232-Plus2 module is a single USB interface to two independent RS232 ports, communication device.
The integrated electronics of the USB-COM232-PLUS2 utilise the FTDI FT2232H (USB 2.0 Hi-Speed device) and includes RS232 level shifters plus Power/TXD/RXD LEDs to provide a visual indication of data traffic through the module.
• The module uses a standard USB-mini B device connector for connection to an upstream host or hub port. RS232-level signals, including modem handshake signals, are available on an industry-standard DE-9P connector. There is a separate DB9-PE for each RS232 port.
• The module is powered from the host USB port and therefore does not require an external power supply.
• All modem control lines are provided – TXD, RXD, RTS, CTS, DCD, DTR and DSD.
• Pin 9 of the DE-9P connectors is a RI# pin for remotely waking up a sleeping host.
• The maximum RS232-level data rate for each channel is 1Mbps.
• The product works with the royalty free FTDI drivers for Windows MAC, Linux.
• The USB-COM232-PLUS2 is fully RoHS compliant and is CE and FCC approved.
• Operating temperature range -40oC to +85oC.
